Summer weekends are my absolute favorite - the only thing I love more? Summer travel! This past weekend, I went to the cutest little inn, in Old Saybrook, CT. Saybrook Point Inn & Spa is nestled between the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound - right next to the darling Harbor One Marina.
Their menus specialize in fresh, local seafood and their amenities are quaint, yet up-to-date. During our stay, we enjoyed the luxurious pool, sauna, restaurants, Harvey's Beach and Saybrook Point's very own signature Sanno Spa, for a couples massage - *highly recommend*. To boot, the town, surrounding homes and local businesses embody quintessential New England, at it's finest.
Next time you are in search of a weekend getaway, from the sweat box that is NYC, add Old Saybrook to the list.
