The day every little girl dreams of - well, most - is the day she gets married. I have to say, I was not that little girl. I was free-spirited, strong willed and independent (still am). Rather than fantasizing about prince charming, I dreamed of owning my own company - weird, I know. Fast forward to 16 years old - that's when I started to have visions of who I wanted to marry, what characteristics they would embody, where we would live - and of course, how I would style our wedding day.

This shoot was just the beginning of a truly unique and special time in our lives. We are starting our lives together, officially intertwined as one. With that being said, when choosing partners to work, I was extremely picky and made sure to use brands that are tried and true - at least to me.

Love loves to love and I love, love you. Cheers to you Robert Rushton. You make me the happiest woman. I am so thankful that I get to call you mine, forever. x

This venue is magical. Think subdued French chateau. It is stunning and nestled in the quaint town of Rye, New York. The stone work, shutters, balcony and greenery make it a romantic destination regardless of the weather. Somehow the rain made the building, grounds and water seem even more intimate and picturesque.

Wainwright was on the top of our wedding venue list. Although we didn't move forward and book it for our big day, we did share a special evening on the property capturing our love for one another.

Where do I even start!? I can't thank Fabiana enough. She truly is a bright light in this crazy world we live in. She is prepared, positive, affordable, extremely talented, makes you laugh, erases nerves, and is the kindest most beautiful soul, inside and out.

Without her at our shoot, it would not have been the same. She showed up with a smile on her face and two umbrellas in her hands to help us create moments we will never forget.

Fabiana splits her time between North Carolina and New Jersey, however, she is willing to travel for a wedding! So if shes not near you, don't fret. To boot - she allows you to communicate via text, DM, email and/or calls. This was a huge plus for me, as I loved the ease and convenience.

One of the most surreal experiences as a blogger is working with brands that you have loved for years! Lulus is one of those brands. I was thrilled when they approached me to be an ambassador and even more happy when they gifted one of the dresses I wore on shoot day. The dress by RYSE was stunning and a perfect number to dress up or down.

Lulus buys and designs sophisticated, chic and modern styles. They invest in superior construction and high-end finishes to make your Lulus purchase a true representation of affordable luxury.

Working with both of these lines was another pinch me moment in my blogging career.

Jack Rogers has been a mainstay in my Summer shoe game, since I can remember. Their classic, durable and chic styles elevate any look.

The styled featured in the shoot is their JACKS FLAT SANDAL in WHITE ($118).

Sam Edelman is another company that I just can't live without. From flats to boots to heels, you will find Sam Edelman floods my closet - and I love it. The aesthetic, quality and price combo of his footwear is unparalleled.

When it comes to engagement shoots, you need a prop or two or three. And when it came to coordinating our shoot, I just knew I had to loop in Chappy Wrap! Their stylish fleece blankets are one-of-a-kind with fun designs, unique jacquard weave, extra large size, and easy-to-care for cotton blend.

Did I mention they also have mini-sized blankets for little ones?! I think this company will be one in our lives for years to come.

Check them out - trust us they are beyond cozy and make a great umbrella too. ;)

The blanket featured in the shoot is their OYSTER COVE DIAMONDS GREY BLANKET ($135).

When it comes to florals, Nielsen's truly has my heart. Bob, Raya and the entire team are pleasant, professional and geniuses at their craft.

Not only did Nielsen's sponsor my engagement shoot, but I am hiring them to be my wedding florist too! Attention to detail, floral knowledge, top-of-the-line taste and outstanding customer service is what keeps me coming back for more.

Ah so much to say, so little time. Kelsey, Haus of Pretty's owner, is a DOLL! But, seriously. I not only had beautiful hair - which the rain destroyed - I also thoroughly enjoyed talking to her and getting to know why she started her business.

Haus of Pretty specializes in hair, makeup and brows - yep, you read that right. This holy grail is a trifecta salon. Most importantly Kelsey uses ethically sourced products that are less damaging for your hair, skin and brows - focusing on the longevity and future health, rather than the 'right now'.

JL Rocks offers beautifully crafted fine jewelry, at every price point. Even better - their prices are unbeatable since they make all of their jewelry in-house.

From 8/22-8/28 you can used CODE styleelyst to get 10% off this pair of earrings. x

Check them out, I promise you won't regret it.
